How can I prevent/reduce wrinkles caused by sleeping on my face? I am getting wrinkles on my neck and undereyes. Are there any changes I can make in the way I sleep to prevent more wrinkles? I am getting a Tempur Pedic pillow soon, would this help my case? Also, what creams can I apply to reduce wrinkles? Thank you.

Kelly replied: "try sleeping with a satin pillowcase. it will protect your hair and your skin. also, make sure you’re drinking tons of water and wearing a moisturizer with at least 25 spf in it, even if you’re not planning on spending a lot of time outside. keep your skin hydrated and you’re good to go!

happy holidays, take care!!"

phoenix replied: "keeping your skin moisturized is a good idea.

i was born with eczema and had to find solution to skin care. my mother introduced Vaseline intensive care lotion to me for a cold sore. wow. it cleared up in no time. then i found it was just what i needed for continuous moisture and it doesn’t cost a fortune."

mared replied: "You have to change your position in sleeping. Try extra virgin olive oil."

please help me go to sleep faster!? if it helps my brother sleeps in the basement, and my 2 sisters and parents sleep upstairs. I’m the only one on the main floor of my house, but it doesn’t bother me. just in case, I have a bat between my mattress and my box-spring, but it doesn’t feel any different, and I don’t have any lumps in my mattress, either. I sleep with a tempur-pedic pillow, which helps my neck. I don’t have any thing on my ceiling or wall staring at me or anything. I sleep with my radio on, as it helps me sleep. it’s kinda quiet so I can hear the fire alarm if it goes off, but loud enough to where I could hear the songs. It takes me an hour to go to sleep, and I conjure alot of weird thoughts before I go to sleep. I’ve tried counting sheep, and just concentrated on sleeping, but nothing’s working. and i’m NOT taking sleeping pills or anything like that. please help me go to sleep faster!
I also NEVER drink caffeine and im not afraid AT ALL of being the only one on the main floor.

Peaches replied: "Are you nervous that something may happen to you, since you’re the only person that sleeps on the main floor of your house? It sounds like anxiety is keeping you awake.

There are several things you can do to promote sleep. It sounds cliche, but even warm milk is an option; it contains tryptophan (I’m sorry, I may have spelled that wrong) which is a chemical that makes you sleepy. It’s the same chemical in found in turkey (which is why people always want to nap after Thanksgiving dinner…seriously!).

If you can, don’t watch TV or use your computer for at LEAST an hour before you go to bed. The artificial light stimulates the brain, making it take longer for it to slow down and go in to "sleep mode." Two hours would be even better. Engage in a more quiet activity for the last part of your evening. Don’t eat for at least two hours before bed, either, as that keeps your body awake as well (since it’s working to digest rather than settling down). White noise can help, you mentioned you use a radio…in my experience, I had to stop using one because I found myself actually concentrating on the songs and it became a distraction. If you can get a CD or an alarm clock or whatever that has quiet nature sounds, that will probably help more than a radio does. Even a fan can help, as the sound of it drowns out any other "normal" nighttime sounds that can disturb you (such as the creaks and groans of the house "settling," the sump pump kicking on, whatever).

The body sleeps better when it’s cooler, so make sure your room is not too hot. Taking a warm bath before bed can help as well, it sounds counter-productive but the body works to cool itself down afterwards.

Reading is a good way to occupy your mind as well, and make it "tired."

Limiting your caffeine intake as much as possible after noon also helps, as it stays in the system for quite some time (I know how difficult that sounds, it’s a very hard thing for me to do as well!). If you exercise, do it in the morning, rather than the evening, as your metabolism stays elevated for several hours after exercising, making it harder to fall asleep as well (you’d think that exercising in the evening would make you tired, and therefore make it easier to fall asleep, but the opposite actually is true).

I know you said you don’t want to take sleeping pills, but if you are willing to try a natural/herbal supplement, buy some melatonin. It’s a natural remedy for sleep, and can be very effective. It’s also very safe to take.

Sorry if I got long-winded, I’ve suffered from insomnia for years, and it’s a terrible feeling to not be able to fall asleep (or stay asleep!). I hope some of this info helps you!"
